Scott Ford is the managing partner of Ford & Wallach. His three decades of experience advocating solely on behalf of injured workers has earned Mr. Ford recognition throughout the State of California as one of the preeminent practitioners in workers’ compensation. Certified by the State Bar of California as a Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law, Mr. Ford is committed to championing the rights of injured employees.

Mr. Ford also provides leadership in many capacities in the legal community and to organized labor. He regularly trains employees across a wide spectrum of labor unions and trades such as aerospace; telecom; health care; the entertainment industry; clerical professions; and California State, county, and municipal employees.

For over twenty-five years, Mr. Ford has been committed to the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and advocacy required for membership in this State’s foremost injured worker advocacy organization, the California Applicants’ Attorneys Association (“CAAA”). Mr. Ford is the current Treasurer, an Executive Board Member, and an elected Director of CAAA. He is also a past president of CAAA’s regional chapter, the Southern California Applicants’ Attorneys Association (“SCAAA”). In addition, he is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the California State Bar Workers’ Compensation Section. He has served as a Judge Pro-Tem at the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board in Marina del Rey.

For his outstanding achievements, Mr. Ford has been recognized by “Law and Politics” magazine and in "Los Angeles" magazine as a Rising Star in 2006; and has since been designated a "Super Lawyer" from 2008-2023. Martindale Hubbell rates Mr. Ford as an “AV PREEMINENT” attorney which represents the highest possible peer review rating for legal ability and ethical standards.

Since 1997, Mr. Ford has been a leading educator on the faculty of the Labor Studies Program at Los Angeles Trade Technical College, specializing in teaching courses about Workers’ Compensation Law and Employee Benefits Law. Recognized as a dynamic speaker and keenly skilled professional, Mr. Ford frequently speaks about workers’ compensation issues to large groups of attorneys, doctors, judges, labor unions, employees, and students.

Mr. Ford graduated in 1993 from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California with Dean’s List Honors. While at Loyola Law School, Mr. Ford served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Stephen Hillman, United States Federal Magistrate Judge and Sarah K. Radin, former California Superior Court Judge. Mr. Ford participated in multiple externships with The Western Law Center for Disability Rights.

Mr. Ford graduated in 1988 from the University of California at San Diego (“UCSD”). While at UCSD, Mr. Ford was president of the Pre-Law Education Association, President of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity and a member of the Speech and Debate Team.
