CA Workers’ Comp Increase

California Workers’ Compensation Temporary Total Disability Benefits Are Being Increased For Injured Workers In 2025
Starting January 1, 2025, the Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) will raised the minimum temporary total disability (TTD) rate from $242.86 to $252.03 and the maximum from $1,619.15 to $1,680.29 per week. These changes align with a 3.78% increase in California’s State Average Weekly Wage (SAWW). Workers with a date of injury on or after January 1, 2003 who are receiving life pension (LP) or permanent total disability (PTD) benefits are also entitled to have their weekly LP or PTD rate adjusted based on the SAWW. (See https://www.dir.ca.gov/DIRNews/2024/2024-90.html.)
The increase in TTD, LP, and PTD provides increased monetary benefits to injured workers that are unable to work due to a work-related injury.
If your workers’ compensation claim is accepted i.e., admitted by the workers’ compensation insurance carrier as being an industrial injury, then you may be entitled to TTD benefits from the workers’ compensation insurance carrier under the California workers’ compensation system.
