Robert Schlemmer joins Ford & Wallach with nearly fifteen years of experience representing injured workers. He has represented thousands of individuals who have suffered injuries on the job. In every case, his goal is to secure the medical treatments his clients need and the maximum benefits they are entitled to so his clients and their families can survive difficult and potentially devastating circumstances.
Mr. Schlemmer brings his passion for workers’ rights to California from Illinois. He spent the first decade of his legal career fighting for employee rights in Chicago. As an attorney, Mr. Schlemmer has advocated for injured workers from all walks of life. In Chicago, he represented numerous labor union members including many who worked for the Chicago Transit Authority. He argued cases before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, the Circuit Court, and the Appellate Court. He is a respected trial attorney in California.
Mr. Schlemmer is an active member of the California Applicants’ Attorney Association (CAAA). Mr. Schlemmer is a member of the State Bar of Indiana, the State Bar of Illinois, and the State Bar of California.
Mr. Schlemmer earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Butler University. He graduated from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 1998 with a focus in labor and employment law.
